بالصور… قصص غريبة عن أشخاص نبتت لهم قرون !
ضمن سلسلة القصص الغريبة التي نسمع عنها في هذا الكون،
نتعرف اليوم على مجموعة أخرى من هذه القصص والتي تتحدث عن حالات نادرة
لأشحاص نمت لهم قرون أشبه بقرون الحيوانات في أمر مثير للاستغراب. ونعتذر
عن بعض الصور التي تظهر فيها القرون بشكل بشع.
المسنة الصينية التي نبت برأسها قرن وحيد القرن!
فقد حيّرت هذه المسنة البالغة من العمر 87 عامًا الأطباء بنمو قرن طوله
حوالي 12 سنتيمترًا، حيث لم يستطيعوا معرفة السبب، لكن الواضح أن هناك
تشابهًا كبيرًا مع قرن وحيد القرن. بدأت القصة قبل سبع أو ثماني سنوات حين
نمت شامة في رأس “ليانغ تشوي شين” وقامت بعلاجها بالطرق التقليدية، لكن
الأمر تطور قبل عامين حين نبت قرن صغير، وانكسر بالخطأ، في فبراير من عام
2015، لينمو قرن أكبر منه وصل طوله إلى 12 سنتيمترًا. وقد شاعات قصة ليانج،
وسط جهل الأطباء بما قد يفعلونه لهذا القرن البشع. وشخّص البعض حالتها
بنوع من سرطان الجلد.

المسن “هوانج يوانفان” والبالغ من العمر 84 عامًا نبت له قرن صغير في
مؤخرة رأسه قبل عامين، وصل طوله 7.26 سنتيمترًا ولا يزال ينمو، بدون توقف.
وخشي الأطباء من أنهم إن قاموا باستئصاله فقد ينمو أكبر. يحاول يوانفان
إخفاءه بقبعة، لكن دون جدوى.

المعمرة الصينية “تشانج روي فانج” والبالغة من العمر 101 عام، أثارت
دهشة أقاربها بعد نمو قرن مخيف في جبهتها. وبدأ الأمر عام 2009م عندما ظهرت
رقعة من الجلد على الجانب الأيسر من جبهتها، وبحسب ابنها فالعائلة لم تلقِ
بالًا لهذا الأمر. لكن مع مرور الوقت، بدأ القرن بالبروز، والشيء الأكثر
إثارة لقلق عائلة المسنة الصينية هو نمو قرن آخر في الجانب الأيمن من
جبهتها!
الفنان الجامايكي الذي خضع لعملية جراحية للحصول على قرون الماعز
وتمت العملية بزراعة قرون ماعز حقيقية في جمجمته، حيث أراد الراقص
“فيرتايل برين” تحقيق الشهر من ذلك. وقد تمت عملية الزراعة في جامايكا على
يد جراح كندي. ويقول برين بأنه تم إعطاؤه الكثير من المسكنات خلال العملية،
لكنه بعد الاستيقاظ شعر بالألم. ويعتقد أن ما فعله كان جزءًا من تعليمات
نبوية من الله، فهو لم يفعل هذا الشيء لوحده!

ربما من الحالات الأكثر إثارة للدهشة، حيث نما القرن في جبهة هذه السيدة
البالغة من العمر 69 عامًا على مدار 20 عامًا حتى وصل 17 سنتيمترًا. وقد
تعايشت مع وجود هذا القرن الجلدي، حتى بدأ يظهر كقرن الكبش. وبعد مرور كل
هذه المدة من الزمن، تمت إزالة القرن، وكل ما تحتاجه هذه السيدة اليوم،
القليل من مساحيق التجميل لتبدو طبيعية.
الطفل الذي عالج الأطباء وحمة في جبهته بزراعة قرون
وُلد الطفل “جورج أشمان”، البالغ من العمر 5 أعوام، مع بروز وحمة لونها
أحمر في جبهته، وخشيت والدته من أن يتعرض للمضايقة في حياته. فخضع جورج حين
كان في الرابعة من عمره لعملية جراحية قام فيها الأطباء بزراعة موسعات
أنسجة في رأسه والتي تنتفخ تدريجيًا. وبعد 4 أشهر تمت إزالة هذه الأنسجة،
وكذلك إزالة الوحمة، للسماح بنمو جلد جديد.
الصيني الذي نما له قرن في رقبته
بدأت قصة “لي زهيبنج” منذ 30 عامًا، حيث لاحظ بروز شيء غير عادي من
رقبته، ومنذ 1980م بدأ القرن ينمو بوتيرة مثيرة للقلق. حاول علاجها عند
طبيب محلي والذي قدم له الأعشاب من الجبال المجاورة. ووصل طول القرن لـ 15
سنتيمترًا، ويُعتقد أن العلاج الذي اتبعه لي جعل القرن ينمو أسرع، وبشكل
أطول، وهو ما يجعله يُصاب بتورم في رقبته وحمى.
السيدة التي نما لها قرن في القرن الـ19
“مدام ديمانش” وتُعرف بأرملة الأحد، وهي امرأة فرنسية كانت تعيش في
باريس، في القرن الـ19، حيث نما قرن طوله 24.9 سنتيمتر في جبهتها، ونجح
جرّاح فرنسي بإزالته. ويوجد لها تمثال مصنوع من الشمع معروض في كلية الطب
في فيلادلفيا.

The medical profession refers to these bizarre, even frightening growths as Cutaneous Horns (Cornu Cutaneum, in Latin) that may outwardly resemble the horns of goats, deer, cattle and other ungulates. The resemblance is only skin deep, however – with the emphasis on “skin”. Though hard and bony to the touch, human horns are actually keratotic, meaning they are made from the same material as hair and fingernails.

According to the World Journal of Surgical Oncology, “Cutaneous horn may arise from a wide range of the epidermal lesions, which may be benign, pre-malignant or malignant.” It’s estimated that up to one third of the odd protuberances have a cancerous connection; explaining the remaining two-thirds of occurrences is more problematic.

When human horns appear, it’s most commonly the head, neck and the backs of hands that are affected. This leads many medical professionals to postulate a connection between the growths and chronic exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays. As most of those afflicted are of an advanced age – a survey conducted by the WJSO reported an average age of 57 – anecdotal evidence at least would seem to support the theory that long-term UV exposure combined with age-related skin degeneration may lay the ground for the growth of human horns.

As cutaneous horns are by no means a strictly modern manifestation, it’s interesting to consider how societies of the past would have reacted to their appearance on members of the population… well, we can probably guess how they would have reacted: not positively. It’s also worthy of consideration how cutaneous horns relate to the myth of The Devil. Which came first, the horned portrayal of Satan or tales of humans with cutaneous horns?

Back in the 1880s and long before photoshop, hoaxers in Sayre, Bradford County, Pennsylvania were busily attaching deer horns to human skulls and burying them – to be conveniently “discovered” some time later. The reasons for the hoax are unknown and anyone connected with the events has long since passed on. The skulls themselves have also passed on: after being sent to the American Investigating Museum in Philadelphia, the bones vanished and were presumed to have been stolen.

Though exact details of prehistorical human horns are lost in the mists of time, by the middle ages several cases were documented including that of Mary Davis of Saughall. Cheshire, England. Davis, who died in 1688 at the age of 71, seems to have grown 4 cutaneous horns: single examples held by a local vicar, the British Museum and the King of France have all gone missing.

Mary Davis’ sole remaining horn is preserved and can be viewed at the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City, California, framed and mounted in the fashion of hunters’ trophy heads. According to an early visitor to the museum, “The horn was blackish in color, not very thick or hard, but well proportioned.” Lovely… and visitors can purchase miniature horn earrings in the museum’s gift shop.

Human horns have sprouted, as it were, anywhere humans have lived. In Japan they are known as “Kakuhi” (Horned Skin) and a unique record of such a horn (horns actually; one large and one small) was created by members of the Tokyo University Medical department. The shockingly large horn and a portion of the head of a Chinese man were first photographed, then directly molded in wax.

One of the most well-known current cases of cutaneous horn is that of a 101-year-old woman from Lushan Country, Henan Province, China named Zhang Ruifang. According to the centaurian centenarian’s 60-year-old son, “The horn started as a patch of thick, rough skin on the left side of her forehead. We didn’t pay too much attention to it at first, but as time went on it just grew and grew. And now there is something growing on the right side of her forehead and it seems quite possible that it’s another horn.”

Neither the horn nor the accompanying attention has fazed Zhang, who says that “At first it was a nuisance sleeping and so on, but now I get people visiting me all the time bringing me food and gifts and asking to take my picture.”

Another Chinese granny – Granny Zhao, as she’s called locally – has grown a 15 cm (6 inch) horn from her forehead. The 95-year-old woman, who hails from the city of Zhanjiang, is remarkably complacent about the horn, saying “It causes me no discomfort, but blocks part of my view.” According to family members, the horn first appeared 3 years ago and was thought to be a mole. It continued to grow, however, and today looks rather like a gnarled pumpkin stem.

Before you jump to the conclusion that human horns particularly plague the elderly in China, we’ll refer to this pair of aged men – only one of whom is Chinese. Hmm, must be something in the water there… in any case, 93-year-old Ma Zhong Nan (above left) says his horn began growing after he nicked his scalp while combing his hair one morning. Saleh Talib Saleh, aged 81, is from Yemen, says he used to dream of growing horns. See, dreams really can come true!

One of the most spectacular cases of human cutaneous horns involves the 69-year-old woman in the photos above. Though details on her case are sketchy, it is known that she tolerated the horn growing from the center of her forehead for approximately 20 years!

Over a period of two decades the horn grew asymmetrically, eventually coiling around in the fashion of a ram’s horn. Once the 17 cm (6.8 inch) horn was removed, it only required light make-up to return the woman’s appearance to normality.

What stands out the most (well, not the MOST but bear with me) about human horns is that even though removing them has never been particularly complex, painful or dangerous, many of those afflicted blithely tolerate them for years. Take Madame Dimanche (above), a 19th century Parisian widow in her 70s who not only grew a human horn nearly nearly 23 cm (about 10 inches) long, but waited 6 years before requesting a doctor to remove it. Perhaps being “horny” brings with it some as yet unexplained benefit?

Não, não é piada! Pesquisando sobre o tráfico de animais, desta vez sobre o terrível e cruel tráfico do marfim, onde milhares de animais continuam sendo mortos somente para a retirada de seus chifres (que são de queratina), encontrei dois outros interessantes temas relacionados: O marfim vegetal, que é lindo e tão perfeito que é até mesmo confundido com o originado dos pobres bichos; e a existência de pessoas que desenvolvem, na terceira idade, chifres, tumores devido à radiação, que podem ou não ser malignos.
O único caso registrados durante muitas décadas é o de Mme. Dimanche, uma francesa do século XIX. Agora, estão sendo divulgados mais outros casos, a quase totalidade envolvendo a Ásia.
Excesso de queratina
A queratina é uma família de proteínas estruturais fibrosas. É o material base da estrutura da camada externa da pele humana. Também é componente estrutural essencial de cabelos e unhas. (wiki) Nas aves, as penas, bicos, patas e unhas contem altíssimo teor de queratina. Em todos os animais, incluindo os chifres de bovinos, elefantes, rinocerontes, morsas, hipopótamos, javalis, narvais e cachalotes.

Também em humanos podem aparecer chifres. Segundo alguns especialistas, estes chifres surgem a partir de repetidas lesões na pele, por excessiva exposição ao sol ou radiação, e podem ser benignas, pré-malignas ou malignas. São formados de queratina, a mesma composição base dos chifres em animais. No caso dos chifres humanos, não existe formação óssea, todo o chifre é uma massa de queratina endurecida sem ligação com o crânio. É um tumor e pode aparecer em qualquer parte do corpo.
A ocorrência não é comum, mas existe! Nas imagens vemos pessoas pobres, idosas, simples, geralmente vítimas do preconceito por terem "os chifres do diabo"!

três anos de sua vida começou a desenvolver o chifre. Perdeu a paz e a
família está estigmatizada. Ela morreu aos 94 anos.
"No começo era somente uma verruga, mas, gradualmente foi crescendo como um chifre" - disse Zhang. O chifre não causa nenhuma dor. "Não me causa nenhum desconforto, mas bloqueia parte da minha visão". A família esperou uma explicação médica sobre o caso. Não recebeu.

Fica a pergunta de caráter humanitário: até quando o ser humano, para nutrir a sua ignorância e malvadeza, vai continuar colocando rótulos em pessoas simples? Esta repórter que foi lá e colocou com tanta violência o dedo no outro sinal na testa da velha senhora, forçando-a a responder, por certo não é ignorante. Apenas em nome do sensacionalismo, tenta fazer com que o tema receba mais audiência.

O tumor tem alto grau de benignidade. Malignidade está presente em até 20% dos casos,pois o carcinoma de células escamosas são do tipo mais comum. O aparecimento dos chifres podem aparecer em qualquer lugar do corpo. A incidência de carcinoma de células escamosas aumenta para 37% quando o corno cutâneo está presente no pênis.
No caso do senhor Huang Tuanfan, da província de Ziyuan, no sul da China, houve atendimento médico. O chifre apareceu aos 83 anos de idade.

O que começou como um pequeno nódulo na parte posterior da cabeça de Huang Yuanfan é hoje o que lhe proporcionou o apelido de "o homem cabra". Para os médicos Huang é um "mistério médico".
"Eu tentei cortá-lo e consegui, mas nada mudou. O chifre só continua crescendo", disse Huang à revista Inglês "Metro" em 2011.
Mesmo quando ele foi finalmente ao serviço médico, teve pouco sucesso: "Os médicos dizem que não sabem porque ele cresce Se eles cortam, seria apenas para voltar a crescer .. Eu tento esconder o chifre debaixo de um chapéu. Mas se for mais longo, ele sai do topo .."
Em todos os relatos os envolvidos ratificam não haver dor. Inconveniente, com certeza, é. E quanto à estética, nem se fala! Questões de bullyng, então! Eu não acho engraçado, acho triste. Bem sabemos o quanto questões de alimentação adulterada com agrotóxicos e transgênicos podem acarretar deformidades e doenças. Ar empestado e água contaminada, também.

Pelo menos uma das pessoas, um senhor, resolveu encarar o tumor sob um aspecto divino e foi bem sucedido. Hoje ele é centro de visitação pública com respeito. Quando apareceu o primeiro corno, na parte posterior do crânio, aconteceu a remoção. Algum tempo depois, nasceu outro. Resolveu deixar e ficar exposto.
Claro que a maledicência e as crendices resultam em "alusões ao demo", outros fazem piadas de traição conjugal, mais outros, de crenças panteístas, dizem ser um sinal das divindades....enfim, como sempre, neste mundão, há de tudo!

Madame Dimanche, apelidada de Veuve dimanche (Viúva domingo), foi uma francesa que viveu em Paris no início do século 19. O chifre apareceu aos 76 anos e, em 6 anos, cresceu 24.9 cm. Foi removido com sucesso pelo cirurgião francês Dr. Joseph Souberbeille (1754-1846). Um modelo de cera de sua cabeça está em exposição no Museu Mütter - The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, EU.
