يوم ان انقذت مصر الشعب البلجيكي من الهلاك
وشكرا لمصر حكومة وشعبا
فى عام 1918 وجهت الملكة اليزابيث ملكة بلجيكا جدة الملك الحالى رسالة بخط يدها تشكر فيها مصر حكومة
وشعبا على إنقاذه للشعب البلجيكي من الجوع والمرض (السل)
وأكدت أن بلجيكا ستدون هذا العمل الجليل في الكتاب الذهبي لهم ليعلم العالم من كان يساند بلجيكا ومن كان يقف
ضدها. ، وهو ما يستوجب على الشعب البلجيكي أن يرد الجميل للشعب المصري الكريم، إذا احتاجت مصر
لبلجيكا في يوم من الأيام،
وتقول الملكة اليزابيث فى رسالتها التى كشف الستار عنها الدكتور أشرف صبري - الباحث في تاريخ الجيش
المصري :
إن الأموال التي أرسلتها مصر لإنقاذ الشعب البلجيكي وصلت لأكثر من 500 ألف فرنك، وأن مصر ما زالت
ترسل المزيد من الأموال،وأننا قسمنا هذه الأموال إلى ثلاثة أقسام منها:
165 ألف فرنك لحساب الملكة الشخصي باعتبارها رئيسة الممرضات للصرف منها على تمريض ضحايا
الحرب العالمية الأولى
ومنها : 250 ألف فرنك لشراء الغذاء الكافي للجنود .
ومنها : 150 ألف فرنك لشراء ملابس عسكرية للجنود في الشتاء.
كما أكدت المؤرخة الدكتورة لطيفة سالم أستاذة التاريخ
أن ا المبالغ التي دفعتها مصر للدول الأوروبية مثل انجلترا و بلجيكا هي ديون موثقة، مؤكدة أن مستشار المالية
لدولة بلجيكا في ذلك الوقت كان يدون كل ذلك ووصلت إجمالي الديون البلجيكية لصالح الدولة المصرية ثلاثة
ملايين جنيه إسترليني .
ويؤكد الدكتور أشرف صبري: أن الوثائق واعترافات قادة جيوش الحلفاء تؤكد أن مصر حاربت في الحرب
العالمية الأولى في العديد من الجهات من الشمال والجنوب ومن الشرق بمشاركة 100 ألف جندي مصري من
فيالق العمال والهجانة، سافروا إلى بلجيكا وفرنسا وإيطاليا واليونان ومالطة.
وكانت مهمه الجنود المصريين الرئيسية تمهيد الطرق ونقل المؤن وحفر الخنادق لجيوش الحلفاء، فتحقق النصر
للحلفاء؛ بسبب حفر هذه الخنادق التي حفرها المصريون , وهذا ما يفسر أسباب وجود مقابر داخل مقابر
الكومنولث العسكرية بأسماء الجنود المصريين على طول الخط بين هذه الدول .
ويحتوى الإرشيف الملكي البريطاني والإيطالي والفرنسي على أسماء الكثير من الجنود المصريين ..
ومتى تعودى يامصر عامرة.. زاهرة .. ومزدهرة؟؟؟

On 1918, Queen Elisabeth of Bavaria, the wife of King Albert I of Belgium, wrote a letter to King Fouad I of Egypt, thanking him and the Egyptian people for the generous assistance Egypt has given to the Belgian people, that saved them from hunger and disease (Tuberculosis).
Queen Elisabeth mentioned in her letter that the money Egypt sent - that crossed 500,000 Francs - has been divided under her supervision into three parts: 165,000 Francs for nursing WW-I victims under her personal care, 250,000 Francs for buying enough food for the soldiers, and 150,000 Francs for getting military uniforms for the soldiers that suit the winter. Queen Elisabeth also stated that this act will be written in Belgium's golden book, for the whole world to know who has been helping Belgium & who hasn't, and the Belgian people should return the favor to Egyptians whenever needed. There are some further information mentioned somewhere else, that the Belgium Financial Advisor at that time confirmed that Egyptian Aid kept incoming, until the total amount reached around 3 million Sterling Pounds.
As a token of appreciation, and to honor her first visit to Egypt and to the tomb of King Tutankhamun, on February 18, 1923, Queen Elisabeth established on 1925 the "Association Égyptologique Reine Élisabeth" or the Egyptology Association of Queen Elisabeth, to stimulate the Egyptology research in Belgium. Nine years after the letter, on 1927, King Fouad I visited Belgium, where he was granted the "Grand Cross of the Order of Leopold". His picture featured the cover of the Belgian magazine "Le Patriote Illustré" (Picture below).

Three years afterwards, on 1930, King Albert I and Queen Elisabeth visited Egypt for the second time, where King Albert received the "Collar of the Order of Muhammad Ali" from King Fouad I (Picture below).

That been said, I would like you to cascade to his majesty King Philippe Léopold, the great grandson of Queen Elisabeth of Bavaria, and her majesty Queen Mathilde d'Udekem d'Acoz, that there's an Egyptian who's claiming that favor written in your golden book.
I'm not asking for money. Just give me a Belgian citizenship
